Welcome to Lawson State Community College – an institution with a storied history of academic achievement and an unmatched record of community leadership and service. Lawson State has completed another project—the residence hall and is in the process of collaborating for a new health facility on the Bessemer Campus.
Lawson State Community College is a comprehensive, public, two-year, multi-campus college, which seeks to provide accessible quality educational opportunities, promote economic growth and enhance the quality of life for people in its service area. The College is dedicated to providing affordable and accessible lifelong learning opportunities in order to prepare students for employment or career advancement, enable students to transfer to senior colleges and universities, and provide customized training needs for business and industry.
The Residence Hall is a new facility with the most up-to-date equipment. LSCC Living Learning Residential Facility furnishes free internet service, free satellite service, private bathrooms, controlled air & heat, and free local telephone connections in each room. Also the dormitory is organized with three lounge /study halls that consist of large LCD flat-screen TVs with VCR-DVD capabilities and computers for residence use.
